Rep. Cammack Leads Bipartisan Effort To Designate Today "National Women In Agriculture Day"

March 21, 2024

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Kat Cammack joined Rep. Angie Craig (MN-02) and Senators Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Tina Smith (D-MN) in leading a bipartisan, bicameral effort to designate today, March 21st, as "National Women in Agriculture Day."

The resolution seeks to honor the essential role that women play in American agriculture.

"Women are essential to America's farms, ranches, agriculture businesses, working hard to keep our nation clothed, fed, and fueled. I'm pleased to join my colleagues in recognizing the hardworking women across North Central Florida, the Sunshine State, and the nation in declaring today National Women In Agriculture Day," said Rep. Cammack.

"Women play an essential role in American agriculture—working as farmers, ranchers, producers, business owners, leaders and so much more. That's why I'm introducing a bipartisan resolution to designate today as National Women in Agriculture Day to recognize and honor their hard work," said Rep. Craig.

Text of the resolution can be found below.
