Reps. Cammack & Soto Introduce Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2025

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL-03) and Rep. Darren Soto (D-FL-09) introduced the Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2025. 

The bill directs the Secretary of Commerce to serve as the president's principal advisor for policy pertaining to the deployment, use, application, and competitiveness of blockchain technology or other distributed ledger technology, applications built on blockchain technology, or other distributed ledger technology, tokens, and tokenization. Additionally, the bill directs Commerce to establish a Blockchain Deployment Program at the Department.

"Blockchain is an evolving technology that is changing daily," said Rep. Kat Cammack. "Understanding the power of blockchain technology and how we can leverage it to support our economy, national security, and more is critical. I'm proud to continue to the work of developing blockchain tech with the House Energy & Commerce Committee."
