Human Trafficking Awareness Training Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Kat Cammack (R-FL-03) introduced the Human Trafficking Awareness Training Act, a bill that expands the availability of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers' (FLETC) human trafficking awareness training courses to state, local, tribal, territorial, and educational institution law enforcement agencies.
 
The bill recognizes the importance of FLETC's training programs for first responders and their use in recognizing and properly responding to potential human trafficking situations.

GAINESVILLE, FL — Today, Congresswoman Kat Cammack announced the City of Ocala received a $104,000 grant from the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. The SS4A program funds regional, local, and tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries. 
 
The City of Ocala will use the grant to conduct supplemental planning to develop a city-wide Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP) and a Speed Management Plan targeting safer speeds in residential areas and around schools.
