Wait Times In The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System

Our hardworking veterans’ advocates on Team Kat understand the importance of ensuring our veterans have access to health and community care at the clinics in our district and the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System.

Overall wait time averages are 6.52 days for VA processing and 17 days for community care, for an average of 23.52 days. Our system is scheduling well within the 30 day prescribed wait times, and in fewer than two weeks for most cases.

VERA Scheduling System

We all know that the VA’s toll-free number… you know 1-800-827-1000, can be very disappointing due primarily to the wait times & the lack of experience or knowledge by the employee on the other end.

The VA has a system for you to schedule a virtual appointment using the VERA system. This system allows you to target the time and day you want to speak to the VA. As this line schedules appointments in the Regional Office’s Public Contact Center, we believe you will find very helpful and knowledgeable personnel.
